About Me

My name is Johan, and I am a certified wine enthusiast with an enormous passion for wine, people, and stories.


For me, wine is much more than just a product. It's a combination of nature, craftsmanship, history, and passion. Behind every bottle lies a story. A story of people who work with dedication on something they are proud of and which is ultimately shared with others at the table.



The more I learn about wine, the more I discover how much there is still to explore. That's exactly what appeals to me. The different grape varieties, techniques, regions, traditions, tastes, and the people behind the wine. It's a world that never stands still and is never finished.

At the same time, I believe that you don't need all that knowledge to enjoy wine. You don't have to be a wine expert to appreciate a good wine. Ultimately, it's all about what you taste, experience, and enjoy.

I believe there's a wine out there for everyone.

Not because everyone should become a wine connoisseur, but because everyone has their own taste. There are no wrong choices. If you enjoy what's in your glass, then that's precisely what wine is all about.

At VindieWine, discovery is key. That's why a large portion of the wines are first tasted blind before they are added to the assortment. Without a label, without a price tag, and without expectations. Only the wine gets the chance to speak for itself. Approximately 75% of the wines I offer are evaluated in this way before they are given a place within VindieWine.

What I perhaps find even more beautiful than wine itself, are the people behind it and the connections that wine creates. Wine brings people together. At the table, during a dinner, at a wedding, during a business meeting, or simply at home with friends and family.

You can also see this reflected in the wine world. Winemakers, wineries, and families help each other forward, share knowledge, and together build something they are proud of. This connection inspires me.
